Something wicked this way comes...
I'm going to bed. The networks are edging towards calling it for Bush. There's something really weird going on. Go back to when Saxby Chambliss beat Max Cleland in Georgia, despite exit polls that showed the opposite. Of course, there was electronic voting there.

The sad thing is, we'll never know. Tens of millions of people vote and are left with nothing but questions. And we're stuck with four more years of incompetence, war, and secrecy.

I'm assuming there are going to be multiple legal challenges, but who knows if they'll go anywhere? If they're going to fight this, the Dems better have a legal and pr strategy they can unleash tomorrow morning.

"The sad thing is, we'll never know. Tens of millions of people vote and are left with nothing but questions."

NATIONAL
99% of Precincts Reporting
Bush 51% 58,527,956
Kerry 48% 54,992,753

Maybe there was fraud, voter suppression and chicanery, but not 3 1/2 million votes worth.

The large voter turnout should bring a smile to the faces of those who really believe in the Democratic process. The claims of fraud, suppression, and chicanery have the potential to destroy any progress that was achieved. Calls of, "your vote was stolen," and "your vote did not count," will only lead to disillusionment and the apathy to vote, of those who reached out and participated for the first time or for others who were reacquainted with the process.

It was rumored that Carl Rove did an impression of Howard Cosell this morning; all through the halls of the west wing you could hear "Down goes Kerry! Down goes Kerry! Down goes Kerry!"

PS I voted for Kerry and was sad to see him lose, but I was glad to see that Tom "outrageous" Dashle got a swift kick in the ass.
